Mrs. Elaine Marie Garner, 84, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Willson Hospice House, in Albany. Born July 12, 1938, Mrs. Garner was the daughter of the late Edwin and Lena Wendel Remmert. She worked for many years as chief clerk of The Lee County Probate Court where she helped countless families throughout the years. She enjoyed watching western movies, gardening, playing marbles, but most of all loved spending time with her family. She was of the Catholic faith and will be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and thought of as a mother to many others who needed one. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L. “Bob” Garner, and her siblings, Irene, Bud, and Viola. Survivors include her children, Anissa Henderson and Pete Garner both of Leesburg; grandchildren, Mariah Collins and Cade Garner; great-grandson, Noah Collins; and sister, Pauline Dambach of Leesburg. Mrs. Garner will be laid to rest with her husband Bob at Andersonville National Cemetery with a private service for family only. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in Mrs. Garner’s memory to The Lee County Animal Shelter, 101 Mossy Dell Rd. Leesburg, GA 31763. Joseph W.
