Edith Pearl Green

Mrs. Edith Pearl Green, 75, of Leesburg, went to be with our Lord on Monday, August 1, 2016 from her home in Leesburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2016 in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home, 375 US Highway 19 S. Leesburg, GA. 31763. Chaplin William Archibald will officiate with interment to follow in the Leesburg Cemetery. Born January 19, 1941 in Kentucky, Mrs. Green was the daughter of the late Oney and Hettie Beatty Delk. She was a former employee of Dephi Albany and FitzGerald. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Philema Road Baptist Church of Leesburg. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Boyd Green of Leesburg; children, Denise Burchett, Tony Goodman and wife, Renee and Starlet Stafford all of Leesburg; grandchildren, Jeffery Burchett and wife, Kelly of New Castle, IN, Dewayne Goodman, Lexi Fear and Harley Stafford all of Leesburg; brother, Earl Beatty and wife, Barbara of New Castle, IN; 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her brother, James Delk and niece, Brenda Ball. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
