Dorothy Carolyn Apperson Depriest

Mrs. Dorothy DePriest, 81, of Leesburg, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home, 375 US Highway 19 S. Leesburg, GA 31763. Her children will officiate and a private entombment will follow at Crown Hill Mausoleum. Born April 5, 1937 in Worth County, GA, Mrs. DePriest was the daughter of the late Alfred E. and Ethel Walker Apperson. She was a loving homemaker who loved The Lord with all her heart. She volunteered at the hospital and churches she attended. She enjoyed attending church and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking for her family. Survivors include her children, Mark O. DePriest of Albany, Janet (Daris) Cross of Leesburg and Andrea (David) Stanfield of Leesburg; two sisters, Patricia (Myron) Hancock of Americus and Shelby Pollock of Sylvester; 6 grandchildren, Jason, Jacob, Jeremy, Stephen, Jillian and Abby; 7 great-grandchildren, Alex, Sophie, Selah, Sadie, Rowen, Owen and Michah; several nieces and nephews.
