Dorothy Blair Knight

Mrs. Dorothy Blair Knight, 60, of Lee County, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 1, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 11, 2017 at The LifeSpring Church, 3014 Sylvester Road. Albany, GA. 31705. Pastor Mark Knight will officiate and the family will receive friends following the service. Born July 25, 1956 in San Diego, CA, Mrs. Knight was the daughter of the late Alexander Lee Blair and Dorothy Nadine Whitmire. She had owned and operated Your Special Occasion Bakery and enjoyed baking. She was a caring and compassionate pastor’s wife who showed the loved of God to all. Her family was her everything and she will be greatly missed until we meet again. Survivors include her husband, Pastor Mark Knight of Lee County; children, Ryan Vanvleet, Vincent VanVleet, Cheryl Foote, Michael VanVleet, Mark Knight, Jr. and Brandie Braswell; brother, Marty Blair and Brenda; grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler, Alyssa, Leanna, Madison, Brooke, Georgia and Bryce.
