Doreen Mildred Walter

Doreen Mildred Walter, 76, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

The family will host a memorial service honoring her life at a later date.

Born August 22, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Clara Kullman Thornton. Doreen worked for many years as an office manager of an equipment surveying company. She was an artist at heart and loved to paint, draw, crochet, and make jewelry. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was affectionately known as “grandma.” A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece, Paige Williams.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Heather Walter of Kennesaw, and Amy Walter of Woodstock; four grandchildren, Somer Willard, Samantha Davis, Dawson Davis, and Jacob Davis; great grandchildren, My'Lani, Zian, and Kyndra; sister, Bonnie Harden (Roy); and her nephew, Troy Williams.
