Dempsey "Denny" Marshall

Mr. Dempsey “Denny” Marshall, 81, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2024, at Rehoboth Baptist Church, in Shellman with Rev. Emil Askew officiating. Interment will follow in the Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born on October 30, 1942, in Shellman, Mr. Marshall worked for many years for Lilliston and Georgia Southwestern Machine Shop. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his yard. He was a member of Chickasawhatchee Baptist Church of Dawson. He loved The Lord and his family dearly and will be greatly missed.

Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Marshall who passed away on June 11, 2023; his mother, Maddie Reese Marshall; a grandchild; and his siblings, Jack, Carolyn, and Betty.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Ronald Dempsey Marshall and Sheila of Reynolds, Ricky Marshall and Carol of Sasser, Teresa Kay Kirkland and Gerry of Dawson, and Raymond Clinton Marshall of Arkansas; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth Hammock of Sasser, Gail Lail of Leesburg, Elaine Wills and George of Dawson, and Joe Hammock and Joyce of Leesburg; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
