Dawn L. Aumsbaugh

Mrs. Dawn L. Aumsbaugh, 96, of Lee County, GA, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 20, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home, 375 US Highway 19 S. Leesburg, GA 31763. Rev. W.A. Bingham and Rev. Joseph W. Jones will officiate with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens in Albany, GA. Born March 26, 1921 in Kendallville, IN, Mrs. Aumsbaugh was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Lanning. She lived most of her life in Kendallville, IN until 2011 when she moved to Lee County, GA to be closer to her family. She retired from JCPenney and was a loving Christian lady. She was an avid reader that especially loved reading the word of God. She loved The Lord and especially enjoyed going to church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Aumsbaugh was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald H. Aumsbaugh; two sons, Donald Aumsbaugh, Jr. and Dean N. Aumsbaugh and grandson, Chris Apperson. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Brenda Aumsbaugh of Lee County, GA; grandchildren, David Lee Aumsbaugh and Mary of Dublin, GA, Dennis Aumsbaugh and Tina of Leesburg, GA, Angela Lipman of Pleasant Lake, IN, Michelle Fradenburg of Bradenton, FL, Angie Brooks and Mark of Americus, GA and Gordon Apperson of Gainesville, GA and several great-grandchildren.
