Daniel James "Dan" Arend

Mr. Daniel James “Dan” Arend, 67, of Leesburg, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Steffens officiating. Born April 13, 1954, in St. Paul, MN, Dan was the son of the late James and Lois Swanson Arend. He graduated from White Bear Senior High School in 1972 and from Century College in White Bear, MN. He was a faithful member for many years of The Woodbury Lutheran church where he served as director of facilities. He retired to Leesburg, GA and loved visiting Pensacola, FL and Panama City Beach, FL. He loved the outdoors including boating, camping, riding four wheelers, and caring for his wife’s flowers in their yard. More than anything he loved his family and enjoyed playing baseball and football with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Barbara Tyler Arend of Leesburg; children, Jennifer Boudreaux and Kirby of Leesburg, Daniel Arend, Jr. of Skykomish, WA, Christopher Kamp of Minneapolis, MN, and Heather Kamp of Jordan, MN; brother, James W. Arend, Jr.; sister, Lynn Marie Bennett; grandchildren, Shaylee, Cody, Andrew, Joseph, Alexis, and Chase; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
