Christine Chambless Brooks

Mrs. Chistine Chambless Brooks, 90, of Albany, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, at her home.

Born on December 16, 1933, in Alabama, Mrs. Brooks was the daughter of the late Dewey and Euna Vae Rhodes Chambless. She worked as a nurse for over 50 years and took great delight in caring for others. She loved God and her family most of all and will be remembered as a Christian woman. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, baking, and cooking for her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Putney.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brooks was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Brooks and several siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Terry Brooks of Albany; sister, Jewell Odom; grandchildren, Brandon Brooks of Tallahassee, FL, and Endya Stephens of Lake Alfred, FL; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

In accordance with her wishes the family will have a private service later.
