Charles L. Mims

Charles L. Mims, 72, of Leesburg, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Dawson. Born December 7, 1947, Mr. Mims was the son of the late Charles E. Mims and Elizabeth Fulghum Mims. He served his country in the United States Army and retired as a truck driver. More than anything Mr. Mims enjoyed spending time with his family and was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his children, Marvis Mims (Pam) and Marie Pegler; sister, Sandra Woodall of Leesburg; brother, Roy Mims (Sandra) of Douglasville; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home of Leesburg was given the honor to serve Mr. Mims family.
