Charles E. Tyson

Mr. Charles E. Tyson, Sr., 76, of Leesburg, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 25, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Pine Bluff Baptist Church in Albany. Rev. Keith Smith, Rev. Bruce Smith, and Rev. Mark Bullock will officiate. Following the funeral, Mr. Tyson will be laid to rest at Crossroads Cemetery in Adel at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral at the church. Born July 29, 1944, in Haines City, FL, Mr. Tyson was the son of the late Leonard and Effie Little Tyson. He was a self-employed building contractor, enjoyed building cabinets and making furniture. He was a deacon and faithful member of Pine Bluff Baptist Church for over 40 years. He enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school. More than anything he loved God and his family and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tyson was preceded in death by his daughter, April Dawn Tyson. Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Virginia Tyson of Leesburg; children, Charles E. Tyson, Jr. and Megumi of Rosamond, CA, and Angela Friese and Jim, Jr. of Leesburg; 5 grandchildren that he adored, Ileana, Erica, C.J., Sam, and Rei; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
