Mrs. Carol Turner Youngblood, 62, of Albany, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Willson Hospice House in Albany. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home in Leesburg. Interment will follow at Zion Hope Cemetery in Crisp County. Born March 22, 1953 in Cordele, Mrs. Youngblood was the daughter of the late Carl Turner Sr. and Gladys Lewis Turner. She was a homemaker and enjoyed collecting ink pens and had a very large collection of them. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Youngblood was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel A. Turner. Survivors include her husband, George Robert Youngblood; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Christopher Peak of Albany; brothers, Carl Turner II, D. Russell Turner, and Roy M. (Annette) Turner all of Cordele and Jerry D. (Alice) Turner of Vienna; sisters, Gail Turner Louis of New Orleans, LA and Ellen Turner McCadams of Cordele; 5 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and her beloved cats that she loved. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home, 375 US Highway 19 S. Leesburg, GA. 31763.
