Bobby Eugene Mash

Mr. Bobby Eugene Mash, 70, of Smithville, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Phoebe Sumter, in Americus.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home of Leesburg officiated by Rev. Jamie Mash. The family will visit with friends at the home of B.J. Dean, 426 Armena Road, following the service.

Born on March 17, 1954, in Albany, Bobby was the son of the late William and Lurline Dunlap Mash. He worked for many years in the peanut industry, enjoyed fishing, back roads, and loved gardening. Most of all he loved his family and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jerry Barber.

Those left to cherish his memory include his two daughters, B.J. and Brad Dean of Leesburg, and Brandy and Wynn Willis of Smithville; siblings, Patricia Barber of Putney, Buddy Mash of Bronwood, and Gail Hoover and Raymond of Albany; grandchildren, Gage, Tyler, Dale, Trent, Tara, and Taylor; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and his “buddy mule” Hank.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.
