Bobbie Davis

Mrs. Bobbie L. Davis of Leesburg, passed away at her home on June 21, 2020. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted at Floral Memory Gardens on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Andrew Kornegay will officiate. Due to the on-going Coronavirus concerns proper social distances will be observed. Mrs. Davis was born on January 2, 1935, in Moultrie, GA to the late Marshall and Lola Lairsey. Mrs. Davis retired from the Sears and Roebuck Co after 45 years of faithful employment. She greatly enjoyed the outdoors while walking and camping. She was noted for her effort to keep the roads and street clean by picking up litter along her walks. Mrs. Davis loved her entire family and often marveled at the number of family members close to her. She was a faithful member of Lakeside Baptist Church and attended many of the functions when her health allowed her to. Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Hill (Richard) of Leesburg; her grandchildren, Janet McCoy (Corey) of Leesburg, Guerry Edwards (Anna) of Blairsville, Jason Hill (Victoria) of Leesburg, Brandon Hill of Leesburg, and Holly Wingate (Matthew) of Leesburg; fourteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Guerry W. Davis and her daughter Janice Edwards. Mrs. Davis will lie in state at Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home on Friday, June 26, 2020, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in order for her family and friends to pay their respects. Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Davis family.
