Betty Shiver Wiggins

Mrs. Betty Shiver Wiggins, 76, of Leesburg, passed away Sunday morning, May 28, 2017 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. Services honoring the life of Mrs. Wiggins will be conducted at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home, 375 US Highway 19 S. Leesburg, GA 31763. Ministers Joseph W. Jones and Charles Walker will officiate. Born August 8, 1940 in Albany, Mrs. Wiggins, was the daughter of the late Willie C. Shiver and Mamie Hall Shiver. She resided in Leesburg most of her life where she was a cashier at Rubo’s Grocery Store. She was baptized and attended Alpha Baptist Church of Leesburg until her health declined. She loved her cats, enjoyed cooking and spending time with her beloved family. Mrs. Wiggins loved The Lord Jesus and enjoyed listening to gospel music. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wiggins was preceded in death by 8 siblings. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Stillson and Paul of Leesburg and Angela Joyce Weston and Monty of Albany; brother and sister-in-law, Lee Shiver and Jean of Sasser; 5 grandchildren, Crystal Settle, Amanda Walker, Danny Wiggins, Paul Stillson, Jr. and Ginny Stillson all of Leesburg and 6 great-grandchildren, Jayden, Colton, Jorden, Kylie, Madeline and Trey. The family will receive friends following the service and the family will be at the home of Crystal and Matt Settle, 424 Lovers Lane Rd. Leesburg, GA 31763.
