Bennie Ronald Evans, Jr.

Mr. Bennie Ronald Evans, Jr., 64, of Sylvester, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at his home while surrounded by his family.

Born on June 15, 1959, in Albany, Mr. Evans was the son of the late Bennie and Dorothy Mathis Evans. He was a 1981 graduate of Worth County High School and worked for several years with M & M Mars. He loved spending time with family, having cookouts, and was a friend to many. He had many “yard youngins” and enjoyed motorcycles. He was of the Christian faith and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Caulder and Patricia Barfield.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 30 years, Tammy Webb Evans; children, Pamela Evans and Mandy of Sebring, FL, Mary Grimes and William of Sylvester, and Ronnie Evans and Alex of Sylvester; siblings, Dale Evans and Linda, Michael Evans and Melissa, Raymond Evans, Art Wisham, Jan Rogers and Paul, Gloria Collins and Jr. and Denise Newton and Jason; 7 grandchildren; stepmother, Karen Evans and stepfather, Johnny Bodrey; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The family will be at the home of his daughter Mary Grimes at 203 McDonald Rd. Sylvester, GA 31791. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday May 6, 2024, at New Hope Full Gospel at 256 Youngblood Road Sylvester, GA.
