Benjamin E. Lunsford

Mr. Benjamin “Benny” E. Lunsford,75, of Sylvester, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2017 at his home. He will be remembered for his generosity and sense of humor. A lifelong resident of SW Georgia, Benny resided in Sylvester for about 25 years. He was former owner of Highway Food Mart in Sylvester. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe E. Lunsford and Louise Mann Lunsford and brother Christopher Lunsford. Survivors include his brother, Freddy Lunsford of Leesburg Georgia; children, Patti Lunsford of Nashville, TN and Joel Lunsford of Albany, GA; two grandchildren, Tripton Lunsford and Gabriel Lunsford of Summerville, SC; niece, Louisa Awberry of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; nephew, Rick Lunsford and great nephew Davis Lunsford both of Leesburg, GA and his wife, Ann Lunsford of Sylvester, GA and two step-sons, Randy Poole and Jeremiah Poole both of Sylvester, GA. A celebration of life will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church 603 Belmont Avenue in Tifton GA. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to Best Friends Humane society of Worth County GA.
