Barbara Elizabeth Chambless Brown

Barbara Elizabeth Chambless Brown, 69, of Lake Blackshear, Georgia peacefully went home on April 5, 2024.

Born on January 7, 1955, in Dawson, Georgia, Barbara was the daughter of the late Claud and Jeanine Chambless. She graduated from Terrell Academy and ABAC with a degree in Interior Design. After graduating from college, she became a cosmetologist and had just recently retired. She was an excellent cook and was gifted with an eye and hands that could create anything from a beautiful floral arrangement to an adorable birthday cake. Barbara was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and dearly loved her church family and enjoyed worshipping, studying, and serving with them. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and sitting on the beach.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 44 years, Jerry Brown; son, Jerrod Brown (Frankie); grandchildren, Jude Brown, Avery and Luke Outlaw; sister, Susan Dillard (Bobby); nephew, Jason Dillard (Tawndee); great-nieces, Josie Grace and Adeline Dillard; and brother, Hal Chambless.

Funeral services will be conducted April 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Baptist Church, Cobb, Georgia officiated by Dr. Bryan Bentley with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at 1:00 PM at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Dawson, Georgia officiated by Rev. Jason Dillard.
