Arthur Eugene West

Mr. Arthur Eugene West, Jr., 65, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Born on February 7, 1958, in Atlanta, Mr. West was the son of the late Arthur Eugene West, Sr. and Bobbie Jean Vines West. He grew up in Warner Robins until he was 12 years old and moved to the family farm in Newton. After graduation he attended UGA and after marrying the love of his life they moved to Leesburg in 1997 where they were proud to raise their family. He loved building houses as a contractor and worked for over 30 years for The United States Postal Service. In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors, looking for arrow heads, and golfing. He enjoyed playing guitar and was of the Christian faith. Most of all he loved his family dearly and he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Mr. West was preceded in death by his sister, Jenny West, and his brother, Hal West.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Anita West of Leesburg; children, Sierra Bradley and David of Lee County, and Tyler West of Leesburg; four grandchildren, West, Semaira, Sawyer, and Aubrey; siblings, Penny Jones of Camilla, Cameron West, Gena West, and Brit West all of West Virginia; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

In accordance with the wishes of Mr. West, his remains will be cremated, and the family will host a memorial gathering for close friends and family at the family's residence at a later date to be announced.
