Arlette Irene Livingston

March 25, 1932 — October 18, 2019

Arlette Irene Nichols Livingston, of Leesburg, passed away at the age of 87, on Friday evening, October 18, 2019. She was born in San Diego, California, but lived most of her life in her adopted state of Georgia. She enjoyed traveling and spent time in Thailand and Vietnam as well as California and Florida. She owned and operated several service stations in Bainbridge and Tallahassee as well as owning a bookstore with her late husband, Joe Livingston, in Albany for 25 years. A member of Philema Road Baptist Church, she gave many hours crocheting crosses. She had many friends that loved and supported her through the years. She gave with a cheerful heart to the police, fireman and to local churches. She was an avid seamstress and loved to crochet and knit. She is survived by her six children: Debra Birdwell Winkler of Salt Lake City, Utah; Vonnie Bitton, of Buford, Georgia; Jennifer Womack of Pocatello, Idaho; Johnny Birdwell of Norfolk, Virginia; and Leah Dombowski of Oregon, Ohio; four step-children, Sherri Prosser of Franklin, Tennessee, Yvonne Brown of Lake City, Florida, Jacqui Brand of Quincy, Florida and Joseph Livingston, Jr., of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased in death by her husband, Joseph C. Livingston; her parents, Fred and Bernice Nichols; her brother, Walter W. Bryant; and her son, James M.
