April Gill

Georgia Ethel Lee Gill “April” passed this life on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, in Albany. She was 71 years of age. April was a beautiful soul and spent her whole life making people laugh and was a gifted artist who enjoyed painting. Before returning to Omaha, she owned and operated a beauty shop in Albany and was a talented beautician. She was a loving daughter mother, sister, aunt, NaNa, and great grandmother. She is survived by two grandsons, Jaymes Morgan Gillett and Addison Lee Gillett; one great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Marie Gillett; and her brothers, James Lee (Laurie), Bill Lee (Judy), and Dr. Robert Lee (Stephanie). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Leigh Paul Gillett and son, little James; parents, Enoch and Josephine Lee; sister, Nancy Jo Lee Bryan; and her brothers, Bennie Lee and Enoch “Lee” Lee. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Omaha Baptist Church in Omaha, Georgia.
