Annis Opal Joiner

Mrs. Annis Opal Joiner, 74, of Leesburg, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, March 17, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home, 375 US Highway 19 S. Leesburg, GA 31763. Rev. Ken Chancellor will officiate with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Born October 10, 1942 in Surgoinsville, TN, Mrs. Joiner was the daughter of the late Willie and Josephine Lawson Allen. She worked for over 30 years with Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida, enjoyed traveling, shopping, and dining out with her beloved husband. She loved God, her family and attended Lakeside Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Joiner was preceded in death by her siblings; Conner Allen, Ruth Cheshire, Lizzie Reynolds, Louise Moody, Perry Allen, Jackie Allen, and Jessie Kersey. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Robert L. Joiner of Leesburg; sister, Charmie Ash of Leesburg; brother, Jimmie Allen and Beatrice of Lee County; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews that she dearly loved.
