Ann Ashby

Ann Ashby, 68, of Lee County, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020. Services will be private for the family only. Born August 20, 1951, in Memphis, TN, Ann was the daughter of Harry and Jeanne Sammons. Ann had been a resident of Lee County for 23 years and retired from Jack Ivey Signs in Albany where she worked as an office administrator for over 20 years. She was passionate about animals and when she was able, worked tirelessly to keep up her property and care for her horses and beloved dogs, Cypress and Cedar. A loving mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Sammons; and her brother, Bobby Sammons. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Christina Ramey and her husband Kenneth of Springfield, MO; son, Michael West and his wife (Paula) of Huntsville, AL; mother, Jeanne Sammons of Memphis, TN; her grandchildren, nephew, and extended family.
