Buddy married the love of his life, Lois Harrell Clark, on November 4, 1951. They worked side by side on the farm. She was his helpmate as well as soulmate. Their family farm was recognized as a Centennial Family Farm in 2012 by the State of Georgia. They were married 67 years before she died in 2018.

He is survived by his four children Arthur Braxton Clark (Belinda Long) of Leesburg, GA; Nancy Rebecca Clark Coleman (Thomas R., Jr.) of Hartsfield, GA; Sandra Lois Clark of Cairo, GA; and Mary Brenda Clark Chandler (Don) of Hull, GA. He is also survived by grandchildren Amy Rebecca Clark Blalock (Ronnie) of Doerun, GA; Clark Coleman (Paige Eubanks) of Memphis, TN and great-grandchildren Coen Watson Coleman, Maeve Wise Coleman, and Nora Claire Coleman of Memphis, TN.
