Mary Elizabeth Sutton

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Sutton, 93, of Leesburg and formerly of Albany, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Charlie Brown will officiate with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Born September 13, 1922 in Albany, Mrs. Sutton was the daughter of the late Charles Gordon Naylor and Sallie Gill Naylor. She worked for over 37 years with Sears in Albany, enjoyed crocheting, sewing, working with crafts and cooking. She was a faithful member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church for over 65 years where she taught children in Sunday school. She will be remembered as a loving and caring Christian lady who loved God and her family dearly. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sutton was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Naylor and sister, Louise Wente. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, William and Nancy Sutton of Leesburg; grandchildren, Michele Sutton Atwood and Brett of Jacksonville, FL, Jennifer Sutton Cooper and Chad of Warner Robins, Marcela Elizabeth Price and Ethan of Leesburg and Kristina Sutton of Baton Rouge, LA; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Courtney, Matthew, Abigail,Tristan, Briana, Zachary, Mercedez, Alexis and Malachi. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Thursday evening at Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home, 375 US HWY 19 S. Leesburg, GA. 31763 and one hour before the service at the church.
