Mr. Johnny Brown, 63, of Poulan, and formerly of Leesburg, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester. Rev. Donnie Duncan will officiate.
Born October 1, 1960, in Albany, he was the son of Banks and Mary Young Brown. Johnny was the owner and operator of Johnny Brown Construction. He enjoyed working with heavy equipment, wood working, singing, and playing guitar. His favorite thing to do was sit and watch his grandchildren do the things they loved. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his father, Banks Brown and his father-in-law, Darrell Watson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kelly Brown; children, Brandon Brown (Rylee), Tyler Brown (Emily), Josh Dunn (Leslie), Matt Dunn (Dara); grandchildren, Rigby Brown, Caiden Brown, Creek Brown, Emma Brown, Mason Dunn, Jaxon Dunn, Madison Dunn, and Waylon Dunn; mother, Mary Young Brown; mother-in-law, Sandra Watson; siblings, Joy Word, and Kim Young (Henry Lee); his best friend, Mark Word; and his trusty companion, Critter.
